2. Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from? Please explain.
The project that I feel like I learned the most from was the value portraits. Even though this project was kind of long, I actually did enjoy it. There were multiple steps that were a part of the project, so there was alot to learn about. We learned how to trace photos using shapes, transfer the picture from page to page, and how to shade the picture correctly. This project was also done at the beginning of the semester so I felt like I did a pretty good job on it since I was just a beginner then. I do feel like I have grown since the time when we did the value portraits until today.
3. Choose 1 piece
of Art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects.
Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills and
techniques to create the piece.

4. Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in this course? Please explain.
The project that I feel was least succsessful for me this course was the stencils. For mine, I did the golden gate bridge. The main reason that I didnt really enjoy this project was because it was so time consuming and very detail oriented. You also always had to be careful so that you didnt cut the wrong piece out of the poster board, or so you didnt accidently cut your finger or something. There were alot of steps that came along with this project that took a long time, and some were kind of pointless. For example, we had to create a background on the poster board that goes with your scene; but we ended up water coloring the whole thing anyways, and then spraypainting over top of it, so you barely even saw the background anyways. The end result of my project wasnt very good in my opinion. I will say that I enjoyed using spray paint though.
5. Choose a piece of artwork
where the subject matter reflects you as an artist; one that you have a
personal connection to. Please explain your choice.
I would say that my animorphesis drawing of a Maybelline mascara reflects me as a artist the best. The reason why is because I enjoy all things that have to do with makeup and I hope to be a cosmetologist when I grow up. My drawing turned out good too, I thought. The colors of the tube of mascara faded nicely upwards. The blue and magenta colors also complimented eachother nicely. This project was fast and simple, yet interesting and fun. We learned how to distort images and draw using grids. During this project, we also learned how to add shadows to stuff so that they look more realistic and like they are three dimensional. Overall, I liked this project, and I'm glad I was in this art class because I learned multiple new things and I felt like I've grown a bunch as a artist over a short amount of time.
